Editorial Director, It's My MagazineKrystle Downie is a marketing and communications professional based in South East London. Her areas of expertise are campaign planning, content creation and developing diversity and inclusion in organisations through innovative and engaging ideas.
Despite working her way up to Head of Consumer PR in the NHS, Krystle left just before the age of 30 after a game show win, to launch her own business preserving life stories. Gaining Prince’s Trust Support, she was proudly shortlisted by the British Design Council as one of the top three most innovative new businesses in the UK, so her hidden talents in people watching finally paid off.
Fast forward a few years and Krystle is now works at Kensington and Chelsea Council, for the betterment of their residents and staff through innovative and diverse campaigns. From helping to plan the UK’s first ever stay-at-home Notting Hill Carnival during a pandemic, to a holistic Black History Month programme appealing to all.
When she isn’t baking or following natural hair tutorials on YouTube, Krystle can be found spending virtual time with her big Jamaican family in competitive games nights and trying to finish her first novel about time travel.
