Global VP, brand communications excellence & global brand VP, Unilever BrandGiles has been at Unilever for seven years. In his role as Global Vice President he created, and now leads, U-Studio (Unilever’s internal creative agency), U-Entertainment (Unilever’s connection to the Entertainment industry), Agency Relations (models & remuneration) and Digital Advertising Innovation as well heading up the Unilever Brand Team. Giles has also been very involved in the transformation of Unilever’s Marketing Organisation. Before this, Giles worked across many of Unilever’s Tea and Ice Cream brands. Prior to Unilever, Giles was the Pan-European Brand Director for Sony, doing end-to-end marketing in categories spanning from TVs, to cameras, to laptops and tablets. And, in the distant past, he worked at BBH and JWT on categories as different as fashion, oral care, mobile networks, mobile phones, cars, retailers and alcohol. Giles lives in London with his family where he enjoys travelling, music and exercise… but this usually means running around after his two little boys!
