David is the Food & Wine PR Manager for British high street stalwart Marks & Spencer, and is part of the brilliant team looking after press relations, events, social media and influencer & celebrity partnerships.
David is responsible for campaign strategy, planning and execution for Christmas, Easter and cultural & religious events and also leads the team’s insight, measurement & evaluation workstream with a focus on data-driven stories, media monitoring and robust post-campaign analysis. Since joining the team last year he has implemented a new and improved inclusion & diversity strategy to ensure these values are embedded throughout all of M&S Food’s PR & influencer activity. A keen wine communicator with WSET Level 3, he also heads up all PR for M&S’s award-winning beers, wines and spirits.
Outside of his day job David gives talks on the importance of diverse & inclusive communications to audiences including CEOs and heads of agencies, and formerly volunteered year-round as Head of External Comms for LGBTQ+ charity Pride in London.
