Sarah is responsible for the internal communications and PR functions in the UK region for the FTSE 250 global recruitment specialist, PageGroup. Sarah joined the business in 2016 and has since transformed the internal communications function and developed a robust PR spokesperson programme, incorporating the expertise of key executive board members with over 100 years’ combined business and recruitment experience.
Sarah’s career journey to date has been varied, starting out with a part time post at MySpace during her first year of university in 2005. She then went on to be published in Dazed and Confused magazine before entering the world of food and restaurant PR. In her early 20s she created a successful food and travel blog, which saw her enjoy time as an influencer attending press trips across the world and was also invited to the prestigious Microsoft Loop influencer programme, where she tested, trialled and promoted new Microsoft products.
In 2013 Sarah entered into the media intelligence world with a PR and Social Engagement role at Gorkana (now Cision). After taking a year out to work in Melbourne as Head of Marketing for a burgeoning burger chain, Sarah returned to the UK where she took her current role at PageGroup.
Sarah has a passion for music and the arts, which led her to launch Demo Tapes in 2018, a new music podcast in conjunction with friend Rick Martin (ex NME), which sees them hit rewind on the careers and stories of some of the world’s biggest artists.
It is Sarah’s varied experience across communications, content and social media, both in her work and personal life, that puts her in a unique position to understand everything from creating campaigns that align to business objectives, to understanding how customers consume and interact with brands.
