Rachel Friend is responsible for Weber Shandwick’s network of offices across the UK, as well as the day-to-day running of the London office. The agency offers deep expertise in a range of core specialisms, including B2B, consumer, corporate, employee engagement, financial, health, public affairs and technology, and combines subject matter expertise with specialist skills in analytics, creative, digital, social, strategic planning and studio production capabilities.
Rachel has run the London office – the largest in the EMEA region – since 2015. In recent years, the agency has been consistently recognised by the industry, winning PRWeek Consultancy of the Year, PRCA International Consultancy of the
Year, PRCA Campaign of the Year, PRCA Digital Agency of the Year and The Drum Creative Agency of the Year, in 2017 alone.
Rachel has 20+ years experience, predominantly in consumer marketing, but also in social purpose and corporate responsibility campaigns for some of the world’s leading brands including Centrica, HSBC and Nespresso.
Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Rachel was Head of Consumer PR for British supermarket Sainsbury’s, working closely with the communications and marketing teams to deliver brand, product, CSR and local PR. Her agency career includes nine years at H+K Strategies where she rose to the position Managing Director, Consumer Marketing.
